When calcium carbonate is heated in a sealed container, it breaks down to give calcium oxide and carbon dioxide. Calcium oxide and carbon dioxide can then join together again to produce calcium carbonate. After a while, a point is reached at which calcium carbonate is decomposing, and calcium oxide and carbon dioxide are recombining at the same rate. What is this point called?
- Aactivation energy
- Bbackward reaction
- Cequilibrium
- Dneutralisation
