In the space provided below, make a large drawing of the plant section exactly as shown in the photomicrograph.

(b(i))[1]

Draw a straight line to connect A and B on Fig. 2.1. This gives the length of the plant section in the photomicrograph. Measure this length and write it down.

(b(ii))[1]

On your drawing, draw a straight line in the same position as the line A-B that you drew on the photomicrograph. Measure that line and record its length.

(b(iii))[3]

Use the measurements in (b)(i) and (b)(ii) to calculate how much greater the magnification of your drawing is than the photomicrograph. Give your answer to $2$ decimal places. Show your working.
