Simple phenomena of magnetism — practice question

A student has six metal bars, each of the same size. Four of the bars are magnets, one is a bar of unmagnetised steel, and the last is a bar of copper metal. The student places the bars into pairs with a small gap between them, as shown in Fig. 7.1. Select from: attractive force, no force, repulsive force. Each phrase may be used once, more than once, or not at all.
