A teacher studies the reaction time of five students. A 0.50 m ruler is positioned above a student's hand and then released to fall. Fig. 3.1 shows the setup.
When the ruler starts to fall, the student closes their hand to catch it. The larger the distance the ruler falls, the longer the student's reaction time. The results are displayed in Fig. 3.2.
