Three racing cars, A, B and C, first accelerate steadily and then keep moving at a constant speed. Fig. 2.1 provides information about the motion of car A and car B at the beginning of the race. Fig. 2.1 is a speed-time graph. The vertical axis is labelled speed m/s. The horizontal axis is labelled time / s. Two lines are shown: Line A rises from the origin to about 35 m/s at about 15 s and then is horizontal. Line B rises from the origin to about 25 m/s at about 12 s and then is horizontal.
