Light — practice question

A red ray moving through air hits the curved face of a semi-circular glass block at P. Fig. 8.1 shows the ray. It moves in a straight line from O to Q.
(a)[1]

Explain why the light keeps the same direction as it enters the glass block at P.

(b(i))[3]

Calculate the angle between the normal and the ray in the air once the light leaves the block at Q.

(b(ii))[1]

On Fig. 8.1, sketch the route of the light in the air after it leaves at Q.

(c)[3]

Describe what happens to the light hitting the block at Q as this angle gets larger.
