Fig. 7.1 displays an object together with the image produced by a converging lens. A single ray from the object tip to the image tip is indicated. Fig. 7.1 is drawn full size.

On Fig. 7.1, draw a ray from the tip of the object to the tip of the image that passes through a principal focus of the lens. Label the principal focus F.

Use the ray drawn in (b) to find the focal length of the lens.

Draw a second ray that does not pass through a principal focus of the lens, going from the tip of the object to the tip of the image.
