Electric circuits — practice question

A cylinder has been formed from modelling clay, and the modelling clay conducts electricity. Figure 8.1 shows the cylinder. It is linked into a circuit. Figure 8.2 shows that the circuit also contains a battery with electromotive force (e.m.f.) 9.0 V and a resistor P. The resistance of P is 4.0 Ω. The current in P is 1.5 A.
