Fig. 10.1 displays the circuit symbols for three electrical components.

Draw a line from every circuit symbol to the right electrical component. The components shown are: fuse, heater, variable resistor, galvanometer, thermistor.

(b(i))[2]

A voltmeter is connected in the circuit to measure the potential difference (p.d.) across the fixed resistor. By drawing on Fig. 10.2, indicate how the voltmeter is connected. Use the correct circuit symbol for the voltmeter.

(b(ii))[4]

Calculate the resistance of the fixed resistor and include the unit in your answer.
