Copper(II) sulfate crystals have a blue colour. They are prepared by first adding copper(II) oxide in excess to sulfuric acid. The mixture is then heated and stirred. After this, it is filtered and the filtrate is left to evaporate, producing blue crystals. Why is filtration necessary?
- Ato remove soluble properties
- Bto remove sulfuric acid
- Cto remove the blue crystals
- Dto remove unreacted copper(II) oxide
