Enzymes — practice question

A scientist studied how alterations in pH affected the activity of two different protease enzymes. Each enzyme was put into a hole in the centre of a protein jelly layer in a Petri dish. The investigation used a range of pH values. After 60 minutes, the area of jelly broken down by enzyme L or enzyme M was measured for each pH value tested.
(a)[5]

Using the information in Fig. 6.2, describe the findings of this investigation.

(b)[3]

Explain the result for enzyme M at pH 2 shown in Fig. 6.2.

(c)[2]

Suggest the name of enzyme L and state where it is found in the human digestive system.
