Practical circuits — practice question

A student builds a circuit with a battery, an ammeter, a heater and a light-dependent resistor (LDR) connected one after another in series. The battery is assumed to have negligible internal resistance. A voltmeter is placed across the heater, in parallel with it.
(a)[3]

In Fig. 5.1, finish the circuit diagram for this setup.

(b(i))[2]

Calculate the resistance of the heater.

(b(ii))[1]

Calculate the ammeter reading.

(c(i))[2]

State and explain whether the new wire has a resistance that is greater than, less than or the same as that of the wire in (b).

(c(ii))[2]

State and explain whether the new voltmeter reading is greater than, less than or equal to $4.8\,\text{V}$.
