Electromagnetic induction — practice question
An output device is to be used to monitor the output potential $V_{\text{OUT}}$ from an operational amplifier. The output $V_{\text{OUT}}$ may be either $+5\,\text{V}$ or $-5\,\text{V}$.
(a)[3]
Using Fig. 10.1, draw the output-device circuit made up of two light-emitting diodes B and G. Diode B alone should light when $V_{\text{OUT}}$ is $+5\,\text{V}$. Diode G alone should light when $V_{\text{OUT}}$ is $-5\,\text{V}$.
(b)[4]
Using Fig. 10.2, draw the output-device circuit made up of a relay and a diode so that a high-power lamp is switched on only when $V_{\text{OUT}}$ is $-5\,\text{V}$.
