Electromagnetic induction — practice question
A solenoid is connected in series to a battery and a switch. A Hall probe is positioned near one end of the solenoid, as shown in Fig. 7.1.
The current in the solenoid is switched on. The Hall probe is moved until the reading is at its greatest. The current is then switched off.

The current in the solenoid is switched on once more. A few seconds later, it is switched off. The Hall probe is left in the same position.
