Representation of data — practice question

A small ball $B$ is launched from point $O$, which is $h\,\text{m}$ above a horizontal plane. After $2\,\text{s}$, $B$ is travelling at speed $18\,\text{m s}^{-1}$ in a direction $30^\circ$ above the horizontal.
(i)[4]

Determine the initial speed and the angle of projection of $B$.

(ii)[2]

$B$ is travelling at speed $38\,\text{m s}^{-1}$ immediately before it hits the plane. Calculate $h$.

(iii)[5]

When $B$ strikes the plane it bounces, leaving the plane at speed $20\,\text{m s}^{-1}$ while its horizontal velocity component stays unchanged. Find the total time between the initial projection of $B$ and the moment it hits the plane a second time.
