Probability — practice question

A small ball $B$, with mass $0.4\,\text{kg}$, travels in a horizontal circle of radius $0.6\,\text{m}$ with centre $O$ on a smooth horizontal surface. One end of a light inextensible string is attached to $B$, and the other end is connected to a fixed point $0.45\,\text{m}$ vertically above $O$.
(i)[3]

Calculate the speed of $B$ if the tension in the string is $5\,\text{N}$.

(ii)[4]

Find the greatest possible tension in the string for the motion, together with the angular speed of $B$ that goes with it.
