Newton's laws of motion — practice question

A particle with mass $0.2\,\text{kg}$ is in equilibrium at rest on a rough plane that is tilted at $20^\circ$ to the horizontal.
(i)[1]

Show that the friction force on the particle is $0.684\,\text{N}$, correct to $3$ significant figures.

(ii)[4]

The coefficient of friction between the particle and the plane is $0.6$. A force of magnitude $0.9\,\text{N}$ is applied to the particle along the line of greatest slope of the plane in the downward direction. The particle accelerates down the plane. Find this acceleration.
