Newton's laws of motion — practice question

Particles $P$ and $Q$ travel along the line of greatest slope on a smooth inclined plane. $P$ starts from rest at point $O$ on the line, and after $2\,\text{s}$ it passes point $A$ with speed $3.5\,\text{m s}^{-1}$.
(i)[4]

Find the acceleration of $P$, together with the inclination angle of the plane.

(ii)[5]

When $P$ passes through $A$, particle $Q$ is released from rest at $O$. After $t\,\text{s}$ from the release of $Q$ from $O$, the particles $P$ and $Q$ are $4.9\,\text{m}$ apart. Find the value of $t$.
